What We Do and What We Play

The Marksmen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps is a parade and concert performance organization dedicated to the spirit and pageantry of drum and bugle corps.  The mission of the Corps is to deliver to our audiences an exciting and energetic musical and visual show, while providing a satisfying experience to our members.  The Marksmen Alumni’s goal is to always deliver a quality product, and we take achieving that goal very seriously.

The Corps performs throughout New England between the months of March and November to a collective audience of 600,000.  Our repertoire consists of all the Armed Forces songs and various patriotic tunes, Broadway show tunes, some popular arrangements, a bit of jazz, and a unique and beautiful arrangement of our signature song, I Believe.

Who We Are and Why We Are

The Marksmen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps is comprised of adult members from MA, CT and NY.  The members are a group of people who enjoy playing music, marching and performing, and the camaraderie and team spirit we feel and generate when we are together.  The values of pride, discipline, and commitment have always been, and remain at, the core of the Marksmen organization.  By providing a satisfying experience for our audiences, we have found a pleasant, enjoyable way to maintain a relationship with an activity that has been an important part of our lives.

General Information

The original Springfield Marksmen Drum and Bugle Corps was a successful, competitive organization that spanned almost three decades.  Twenty years after the original group disbanded, a reunion was organized.  From that gathering in 1989 the Alumni Corps was born.  New members, 16 years of age and up, are always welcome.  Rehearsals are held at the Chicopee Knights of Columbus Council #69 on Granby Road most Tuesday evenings from 7 to 10 PM.  There is no charge for membership or participation.
